Along with the widening use and development of the internet, people's shopping behavior and service use have shifted to cyberspace. Cyberspace influences real space. It is necessary to ascertain the transition from the past cumulatively to evaluate this phenomenon precisely. This report, based on the memories of participants, clarifies properties that have been influenced. Results show that (1) buying books has shifted from existing central city areas to cyberspace; (2) suburban shopping centers have become less preferred than cyberspace when buying clothes; and (3) banking and insurance show considerable shifting behavior.
Goeje Island located to the south west of Busan City is the second-largest island after Jeju Island in South Korea, and is the principal island of Geoje City. Geoje City has a population of about 230,000. A significant portion of the population depends on shipbuilding to support their livelihood. Although Goeje Island had been joined to land by two bridges from nearby Tongyeong City, the Busan-Geoje Fixed Link called Geoga Bridge was opened in December 2010 and provides a more direct connection to the center of Busan City. In this report, the development impact and utilization policies of Geoga Bridge which was built as a long bridge construction project in South Korea were considered based on two field researches.
Decreasing number of neighborhood shops and the advancement of an aged society have introduced the 'food access problem' in Japan. The seriousness of the problem differs with characteristics of the areas, the problem is likely to come to the surface in housing complexes built around 1970. This paper reports the present situation of the problem in UR Yashio-Danchi (Saitama Prefecture) to provide information to consider measures to cope with the problem.<br>It is revealed that aging leads to the shift of the means of transportation from bikes and cars to walking and buses through a questionnaire survey of 78 elderly residents living there. It makes elderly people feel inconvenience in daily shopping and decrease the frequency of going shopping. There is concern over the eating habits and the health of the elderly people.
Authors conducted an online survey in November 2008 for the purpose of understanding public consciousness towards current road conditions and future road improvement works. 5 years since, authors conducted a similar survey to study the change in public consciousness against the backdrop of changes in social situation during the last half decade. The questionnaire was conducted through an online survey, against the total of 2,000 people, distributed by population pro rata to each prefecture in Japan. The result revealed that public awareness on public works has been growing, and demand for road improvement has remained. Interests for the improvement were concentrated on daily issues in road use such as traffic congestions and road safety. At the same time, it was also revealed that, although the number was few, awareness on natural disaster mitigation and maintenance were growing.
In this report, I report the devised process and later use of the local rule of Otemachi Marunouchi Yurakucho district. At first the local characteristic and the local rule explain the necessary reason. Then, I explain the contents of the organization and the way of thinking of the assessment. As result by the local rule, this system was able to reduce the number of the parking lot to 3,080 from 4,720 and was able to increase the number of a parking lot for freight cars to 299 from 129. And citizens, experts, designers, government offices discuss a construction plan in advance and examine it and are an example of the inhabitants participation that it is unusual to be decided under the Japanese present conditions.
